Everyone knows very well that Novi Sad won the prestigious title of European Capital of Culture in 2022. The people of Novi Sad and their guests attended more than 4,000 events during this significant year, and the festival that was born as part of the preparations is a Kaleidoscope of culture.
Kaleidoscope of Culture is one of the most important art fairs in this part of Europe and winner of the award for Best European Trend Brand in the field of culture. It will experience its eighth edition this year in Novi Sad, and will bring together numerous domestic, regional, European and world artists through 5 weeks of art in the renovated cultural space. He is a legatee of the Novi Sad – European Capital of Culture project.
What characterizes it, among other things, is the week of literature – a unique concept in this part of Europe that turns the Suburbs of the Petrovaradin Fortress into a city of books, with literary and musical programs, sale and exchange of books, literary evenings and performances, bringing together the most important regional names in the field of literature and other artistic practices that arise from it. The Literature Week brings public readings, conversations with authors and performances, as deviations from the established ways of literary promotions, and offers answers to the question of why books are important to us.
